Major Recognitions
Conferred the status of ‘A-Grade’ Artist by
All India Radio and Doordarshan.
Recipient of the prestigious ‘Sur-Mani’ Award
by The Sur Singar Samsad. Following his performance,
The Times of India described him as a
“Find of the Sammelan” and a “Rising Maestro.”
This award was presented in 1981 while he was still a college student.
Awarded the degree of ‘Sangeet Alankar’ by
The Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai,
securing the first rank in the instrumental category.
Honoured as an Honorary Artist of
SPIC-MACAY since its inception,
contributing to the promotion of Indian classical music
among the youth.
Recipient of the ‘Yuva Kalakar’ Award from
Sangeetonmesh Sanstha, Pune, presented by
Pt. Bhimsen Joshi.
